In addition to our commitment to uphold the Workplace Code of Conduct standards, we have also made a commitment to engage with civil society to learn about local labor issues or trends and work together to design and implement trainings, worker communication channels, and factory specific remediation plans.
We have worked with various civil society organizations (CSOs) throughout the years and will continue to seek out additional engagement opportunities in the future.
Currently, we participate in working groups or engage with the following organizations:
LIFE Centre
A social, non-profit organization, pioneering in the field of HIV prevention, protection of reproductive health, sexual health, and capacity building of individuals and organizations in vulnerable communities. We have worked with LIFE on health education and financial empowerment projects in Vietnam.
The Centre for Child Rights and Business
Supports companies in child rights, ESG, and human rights due diligence to deliver improvements within their supply chains and yield positive business outcomes. Their mission is to promote supply chain transparency, improve corporate practices for businesses, and improve the lives of children and families by working with companies to strengthen children’s rights.
Besides serving on the Child Rights In Business working group organized by the Centre, Colosseum has collaborated with this organization on several projects supporting migrant working parents and their families in both China and Vietnam.

The International Accord
The International Accord for Health and Safety in the Garment and Textile Industry (International Accord) is a legally binding agreement between garment brands and trade unions to ensure worker health and safety in the textile and garment industry. Serving as a framework, the agreement facilitates the implementation of the Accord's Country-Specific Safety Programs (CSSPs), currently in Bangladesh and Pakistan, and lays the groundwork for potential future programs in other garment-producing countries. Together with other signatories to the Accord, we are committed to ensuring the continuous and sustained remediation of health and safety risks at garment and textile factories producing for Colosseum in Bangladesh.
Amader Kotha Worker Helpline
Amader Kotha Worker Helpline was first established in July 2014 to allow workers in the RMG sector in Bangladesh to raise workplace safety and other concerns. The helpline was initially established as a project of the Alliance for Bangladesh Worker Safety after the Rana Plaza tragedy. In July 2018, the helpline became an independent initiative for all garment workers with the support of factories and brands.
The helpline is toll free nationwide and available 24/7. Helpline officers are trained to record accurate and complete information related to labor conditions, and to follow up with workers with support and updates regarding their concerns. Colosseum currently utilizes the Amader Kotha Helpline for two factories in Bangladesh.
